First Steps
Before you can start to make funeral arrangements, your funeral director will need two certificates; the death certificate and green certificate for burial or cremation. These will be provided by the registrar when you register the death. The funeral cannot take place without this information.
Arranging The Funeral
The person who has passed away may have left instructions about what type of funeral they wanted. If this is not the case, you will need to arrange it on behalf of them. Whatever they, or you, have chosen, we can make the funeral arrangements for you.

Informing people about funeral arrangements can be difficult. Once we have arranged the funeral, Arthur Bell Funeral Directors can help you arrange a funeral notice so friends and family know when the service will be taking place and where it will be, in a respectful manner.
We can also work with you to prepare an obituary announcement or acknowledgement for the local newspaper of your choice.
